Camping in Norfolk

We were slightly less disorganised compared to last year (2011) and got some camping in over the August Bank Hol weekend.

We stayed at Baconsthorpe Meadows, nr Holt in Norfolk. The site itself only opened this year but everyone was friendly and it was all very organised.

We all had a great time, and as long as you don’t count my poor navigational skills (getting lost), was a good getaway.

We paid 64 quid for a large pitch for 4 nights, so can’t grumble at all really.

Luckily the weather was good for all but one day and I came back with a right sun tan. Winning!

MG TF Update 11 – ZandF Remap!

My MG is now configured with a ZandF Remap  (thanks Mark!) – which is claimed to enhance throttle response, power (+12bhp) and economy.

After the remap I felt the car drove much smoother, and there was a noticeable improvement in fuel consumption…

Of course, it’s starting to become the right little bottle rocket, that is comfortable and ‘fun’ to drive as well!

Certainly, this is a recommended addition to the list of things I’ve had done so far.

My Adventures up North!

Hadfield High Street

Hadfield High Street

Toward the end of July me and a friend went North with my MG to attend an event at MGFnTFBITZ in Glossop.

I had my car remapped (post to follow).

Everyone seemed a great deal friendlier compared with ‘down south’ and we had a real great time.

We stayed in a B&B in Hadfield called the Hikers and Bikers B&B. The Landlord was very friendly and we went to the Chinese as suggested where we met the proprieters from the MG shop and a driver, stranded after the clutch on his MG went on homeward journey.

We finished the night in the Pub where we stayed until the early hours!

The following morning we had a cooked breakfast before making the homeward journey.

Recommend you all go up North and visit!
